Pre-Treatment
- Discontinue Accutane for at least 6 months prior to treatment.
- Stop all active skincare products for 3–5 days prior to treatment, including:
- Retin-A, retinoids
- Topical antibiotics
- Vitamin C (low-pH formulas)
- AHA/BHA acids (glycolic, salicylic, lactic)
- Physical exfoliants
- Hydroquinone
- Benzoyl peroxide
- If you have a history of herpes simplex (oral or genital), begin antiviral medication
2 days prior and continue 5 days post treatment.
Patients with active infection cannot be treated. - Topical numbing cream will be applied before treatment.
Notify your provider of any medication allergies. - Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, or self-tanners for 3 days prior to treatment.
Appointments will be rescheduled if you arrive sunburned. - Limit alcohol intake for 5 days before treatment to reduce unnecessary bruising or pinpoint bleeding.
- Avoid the following for 2 weeks prior to treatment:
- Chemical peels
- Any laser treatment
- Injectables (Botox, Dysport, dermal fillers)
- Waxing
- Chemical depilatories
- Avoid anti-inflammatory medications (Motrin, Advil, etc.) for 3 days before treatment, as they interfere with the natural inflammatory process needed for collagen induction.
Acetaminophen may be used if needed. - Do not shave the treatment area on the day of the procedure.
If dense hair is present, shave closely 24 hours before your appointment. - Areas with moles, warts, or actinic keratoses will be avoided during treatment.
- Avoid blood-thinning agents (fish oil, Omega-3, Vitamin E, etc.) for 1 week before treatment.
You may resume these 24 hours after your appointment.
If you are prescribed blood thinners, notify your provider during your evaluation.
Post-Treatment
General Care
- Gently rinse the treated area with tepid water for the first 72 hours; pat dry with a clean towel.
- Use a gentle cleanser for the next 7 days and avoid scrubbing or exfoliating.
- Always wash your hands before touching treated skin.
- Apply the EXOSOMES serum (AM + PM) starting immediately after treatment and continue for 3 days.
This should be the first product applied in your routine. - Apply Lift lubricant as needed for moisture during the first 24 hours.
- After 24 hours, apply Rescue cream if provided
(not recommended for acne-prone patients). - Begin using a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen after 24 hours.
A chemical-free sunscreen is strongly recommended. - Reapply sunscreen every 2 hours during extended sun exposure.
- Daily SPF use is encouraged to protect results and prevent future damage.
First 24 Hours
- No hot tubs, pools, or saunas.
- Avoid strenuous exercise, sweating, and gym environments.
First 48 Hours
- Do not wear makeup.
You may resume after 48 hours using clean brushes. - Avoid intentional or direct sun exposure.
- Avoid tanning beds.
First Week
Avoid active skincare products, including:
- AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids)
- BHAs (beta hydroxy acids)
- Retinol (Vitamin A)
- Vitamin C (low-pH formulas)
- Any other products labeled as “active” or exfoliating
