What are tox injections (BOTOX, Dysport, and Jeuveau)?
BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dysport, and Jeuveau are prescription drugs that, when injected, temporarily relax muscles. They contain a purified and safe form of botulinum toxin A. BOTOX and Dysport are used to treat permanent furrows and deep wrinkles formed by the continual contraction of facial muscles.
How Treatment Works
Using a fine needle, BOTOX or Dysport is injected directly into the facial muscles that are causing furrows and lines. Results can usually be seen within three to seven days and typically last for three to six months, although areas that are treated on a regular basis may retain results longer.
